Lisboa, 26 jun (EFE).- El festival Rock in Río Madrid 2008 tendrá una gran presencia de artistas españoles en el principal escenario de la "Ciudad del Rock", en la ciudad madrileña de Arganda del Rey, dijo hoy a Efe la vicepresidenta ejecutiva de la organización, Roberta Medina.




"En la edición de Madrid habrá, al menos, diez artistas nacionales de los 25 que actuarán en el principal escenario del festival, debido a la fuerza del mercado musical español, que tiene muchas bandas muy buenas", dijo la vicepresidenta e hija del creador del Rock in Río, Roberto Medina.

Aseguró que la importancia de la música española se notará también en la creación de un escenario exclusivo en el que actuarán cinco artistas españoles.

El festival se celebrará en dos fines de semana consecutivos, el del 27 y 28 de junio y el del 4, 5 y 6 de julio de 2008.

La vicepresidenta de la organización indicó que los primeros pasos para contratar a los artistas, que empiezan ahora a diseñar las giras del próximo año, se darán en septiembre próximo y los nombres comenzarán a ser divulgados a inicios de 2008, aunque ya es oficial la actuación del español Alejandro Sanz y la brasileña Ivette Sangalo.

Roberta Medina dijo que le gustaría ver a Coldplay, Bon Jovi, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Shakira, Jennifer López, Maná, Dave Mathews Band, Robbie Williams o Metálica en la "Ciudad del Rock", especialmente creada para albergar este evento.

Explicó que España supone "un paso más en la fase de internacionalización" del festival, que ya está en negociaciones con Australia, Italia, Grecia.

La organizadora señaló que este camino concluirá en 2014 con la celebración simultánea del festival en tres países, dos de los cuales serán España y Brasil.

Recordó que la organización del Rock in Río y el Ayuntamiento de Arganda del Rey (Madrid) firmaron un acuerdo para celebrar cinco festivales en los próximos diez años.

Medina no considera que el festival de Lisboa, que se celebra pocas semanas antes, y el de Madrid se vayan a hacer competencia, ya que buena parte de los grupos que actúen en la capital portuguesa también lo harán en Arganda del Rey.

Aseguró que los precios de las entradas serán más elevados en Madrid en relación con la edición lusa ante el mayor poder adquisitivo de España, por lo que el precio rondará entre los 58 y 63 euros por día de concierto.

Las cinco ediciones del Rock in Río, tres en Brasil y dos en Lisboa, juntaron cerca de 400 bandas, que actuaron durante más de 500 horas, a las que asistieron más de cuatro millones de espectadores en directo y que fueron emitidas por televisión a 70 países.

El primer Rock in Río se celebró en 1985 durante diez días y tuvo una asistencia de 1.400.000 personas, cinco veces más que los espectadores que estuvieron en el mítico festival de Woodstock (EEUU) en los años setenta.

En el Rock in Río han actuado artistas como Queen, AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N'Roses, Oasis, INXS, Neil Young, Prince, Metálica, Sting, Santana, Rogers Waters, Joe Cocker, George Michael, REM y Paul McCartney, así como la colombiana Shakira, los cubanos Orishas y Alejandro Sanz, entre otros.

Ca m'étonne déjà vachement qu'ils soient revenu cette année... alors pour l'année prochaine...

Faudra qu'on s'arrange passque moi j'aimerai aussi qu'ils viennent à mon anni...

Le fait qu'une bonne partie des dates n'étaient pas sold-out va peut-être les décider à aller voir ailleurs malheureusement...

Bon en même temps, deux tournées en deux ans, faut pas se plaindre si ils ne reviennent pas tout de suite.

Tour em 2008?

Estão circulando rumores sobre a vinda do Pearl Jam à America do Sul em 2008. Saiu no Pearl Jam Mexico uma mensagem interessante sobre uma possível tour em 2008:

"Ahora bien, resulta que en la resiente visita de The Police, se encontro a un miembro del staff de PEARL JAM, al cual conocio en la visita de Pearl del 2005, que ahora trabaja con The Police, este sujeto del Staff le comento que anda chambeando con The Police debido a que los de Pearl Jam se dieron un descanso pór cuestiones familiares, le dijó que de hecho tenian en mente hacer una mini gira en Nov-Dic de 2007 pero a ultima hora decidieron no hacerla (parece ser que hubieran acabado aqui otra ves). En fin, tambien le comento que regresarán a tocar en vivo hasta FINALES del 2008 pero que Eddie estara dando shows acusticos en el transcurso del año como solista."


Um dos usuários do fórum, reconheceu um membro da staff do The Police que era membro da staff do Pearl Jam. O cara disse que eles desistiram na última hora de fazer uma mini-tour em Novembro/Dezembro 2007 (America do Sul?). E parece que eles devem voltar para tocar ao vivo no fim de 2008, e que o Eddie estará em tour solo.
Não foi informado se teria chances dessa Tour em 2008 ser na America do Sul.
