Pearl Jam has officially confirmed they will perform at the 2008 Bonnaroo Music Festival. The 4-day music festival will be held on June 12-15th in Manchester, Tennessee. Tickets go on sale February 16th at 12:00pm EDT, through bonnaroo.com.

Pearl Jam, Metallica, Jack Johnson, Kanye West, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, My Morning Jacket, Willie Nelson, Phil Lesh & Friends, B.B King, Sigur Ros, The Raconteurs, and Death Cab For Cutie are among the confirmed acts for the festival. As a unique, unprecedented offer to festival fans, Bonnaroo is presenting the option to purchase a commemorative DVD of the 2008 festival at the time of ticket purchase. There are no Ten Club tickets for the festival. Tickets for the festival will only be available through bonnaroo.com beginning February 16th at 12:00pm EDT.

Tickets for 2008 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival are priced at three levels.

The first tickets will be priced at a special rate of $209.50 each. There is a limited allotment of tickets at this price. When the first allotment is sold out, ticket prices will increase without notice to $229.50 and then again without notice to $244.50.

All tickets are 4-day weekend passes, which include camping and parking (except for RVs, and other oversized vehicles, which will require an additional pass. See below).

Prices do not include service and shipping charges.

Service charges are $22.95 per ticket. This includes a $3 fee for Coffee County, $6 Facility Fee, and $1 for charity.

You will be offered two shipping options: UPS 2nd Day Air No Signature Required for $10.00 per order or UPS 2nd Day Air Signature Required for $12.00. Shipping costs for International Orders vary based on the country to which the order is being shipped.

Widespread Panic will now close out the 7th annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on Sunday, June 15. Perhaps the festival's longest standing veteran, Widespread Panic has performed on Bonnaroo's main stage in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007. While Widespread Panic was on hiatus, keyboardist JoJo Hermann and drummer Todd Nance both performed at the festival in 2004. The group was brought on as one of the festival's marquee jam acts after the Allman Brother Band officially canceled its performance earlier this week. The group's powerful, two-set Bonnaroo performances are known both for their energy and varied special guests. Over the years the group has welcomed Steve Winwood, Herbie Hancock, Bob Weir, Warren Haynes, Robert Randolph, Luther and Cody Dickinson, Galactic's Stanton Moore, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Dottie Peoples and the People's Choice Choir to the stage while performing at Bonnaroo.

In addition, Jack Johnson has chosen to join his friends Pearl Jam on the main stage Saturday, June 14, stepping into the slot vacated by the Allman Brothers. Johnson will perform an extended set beginning at sunset, shortly before Pearl Jam close out the day's main stage festivities. Johnson is close friends with the Pearl Jam camp and jammed with Eddie Vedder at his Kokua Festival in April, 2007. Many fans also speculate that Johnson will join Pearl Jam onstage during their headlining set.

Bonnaroo has also confirmed a handful of new acts, including Les Claypool, who performed at Bonnaroo each year from 2002-2006. Other new additions include Jurassic 5's Chali 2na, Superdrag, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Adele, Grand Ole Party and The Postelles.

Pearl jam sur scene avec jack white ?


MIKE McCREADY du groupe PEARL JAM a un musicien avec lequel il rêverait de se produire et c’est JACK WHITE des WHITE STRIPES.

Le guitariste Mike McCready doit se produire avec ses amis de Pearl Jam lors du Festival Bonnaroo dans le Tennessee. Les Raconteurs, le deuxième groupe de Jack White, sont aussi à l’affiche de ce festival.

Et même si le groupe a souligné qu’il ne présenterait pas de nouveaux titres lors du concert, Mike McCready affirme être ouvert à l’idée de collaborer sur scène avec l’un des autres artistes à l’affiche.

Il souligne “J’adorerais monter sur scène avec Jack White. Je pense juste que c’est un guitariste phénoménal et j’aimerais le voir jouer de prés. J’ai vu les White Stripes en Europe, mais j’étais assez loin. J’adorerais l’avoir sur scène avec moi parce qu’il a une voix de tueur et c’est un excellent musicien. Donc ce serait le véritable pied pour moi.»
