PEARL JAM: VOTE FOR CHANGE? 2004 - PART 1 NOW ONLINE!

With the 2008 election hot on our tails, we thought it would be the perfect time to dig into our archives and "take a look back to take a look forward." In 2004, Pearl Jam was one of seventeen musicians who took part in the Vote for Change tour - caravanning through battle ground states to Get Out The Vote. An indie film crew made up of Jeff Ament's filmmaker/ skater friends (see sixstair.com) documented the experience. They captured portions of each of concerts, the crowds, on-the-street interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage leading up to Election Day 2004 - all in 8mm film.

Pearl Jam: Vote for Change? 2004 by Rick Charnoski and Coan Nichols will be released digitally and free of charge on the Pearl Jam website in the days leading up to the November 4th election. Part 1 is now online:

For those who haven't heard, a new space has been created at the Ten Club Headquarters called the 10C Digital Lounge. All Pearl Jam & Ten Club digital content is now flowing through this space, powered up and thoroughly connected.

Here is what the 10C Digital Lounge has seen and heard these past couple weeks:

- Several fans were chosen to host screenings of the new Pearl Jam: Vote For Change? 2004 concert film on election eve. There is a fantastic diversity of showings all over the country including bars, theaters, private homes, record stores, clubs and even a shoe store. - The new DEEP Magazine is back from the presses and on it's way to all the active members of the Ten Club. Look for it in the mail over the next several weeks.

- Talk has already started regarding the NEXT issue of DEEP (aka DEEP 5). Plans are underway to make it a special issue dedicated to the TEN record and to get it out the door at the beginning of 2009.

les caincains (comme dirait Strummy) vont voter, donc PJ s'est dit "hay super on va leur montrer un vieux brol d'y a 4 ans que deux potes skaters de Jeff ont fait". Un doc sur la tournée Vote For Change 2004, pendant laquelle 17 artistes ont tourné dans 6 états traditionnellements indécis. Le doc reprend des extraits de concerts, des interviews on ze street et des scènes de coulisses.

Sinon, y a un super magnifique poster de la mort des Ames en vente le 3/11 (Columbia 6/16/08), tout le monde s'en fout surement, et comme personne ne pige les décalages horaires c'est pas la peine que j'en parle

Ensuite plein d'infos sur comment aller voter, vu que dans le Pays des Libertés, on n'est pas obligé d'avoir une carte d'identité sur soi. Beaucoup de blah blah, faut aller voter blah.

* We've been getting great feedback on the new DEEP Magazine as members have been getting it in the mail over the past 2 weeks. If you haven't gotten your issue yet we're sure it will arrive shortly. It's being sent by the US Postal Service so it could take anywhere from 1-6 weeks. We want to thank all the members for their patience in getting this latest issue out. As for the future, we're back on track and have already got several pages of the next issue laid out. We'll be sure to keep you updated on it's progress.
* Rumors have been swirling about a possible re-release of Pearl Jam's TEN album. As with everything this band does, any announcements regarding future releases will come when they are ready and not a moment sooner. Sit tight, you can count on Ten Club to have all the details if and when anything comes our way.

J'ai peur d'être déçu. Côté DVD, je crois qu'on aura droit à des versions live 2008 des titres de Ten, je crois que le TenClub avait posté sur le MessagePit pour connaître les meilleures versions du dernier tour. Sur le 2e CD, on aura sûrement des démos ou des inédits, mais avec tout ce qui circule sur le net de l'époque Ten (Gossman, Mamasan, les premières répétitions, les Ten Rough Mixes, etc.), ce ne sera rien de nouveau pour le collectionneur de boots en tous genres.

Reste le 1er CD, j'espère que Ten sera remixé par Brendan O'Brien, comme les titres sur le best of Rearviewmirror...
