"Ed Vedder recording songs for 'Body of War' score"
In this amazing interview with the Honolulu Advertiser, Ed Vedder has revealed that he's working on 'a couple of songs' for a documentary, which it's going to be called "Body of War", produced by Phil Donahue and directed by Ellen Spiro. The movie is about Tomas Young, a 25 years old Iraq war veteran, who came home paralyzed. It's still unknown when these songs will be released. Boom Gaspar has been interviewed too, by the Star Bulletin and he has revelaed, among other things, that the person who introduced Ed Vedder to him was C.J. Ramone, the former bass player of the punk band The Ramones, who's a part-time Hawaii resident, just like Vedder.

Toujours une bonne nouvelle que vedder reste pas qu'à bronzer, t'as vu c'est le bassiste des ramones qui les a présenté l'un à l'autre (boom et Vedder) et ils disent, si j'ai bein compris, que Vedder est à moitié résident à hawaii, c'est bon ça

As Pearl Jam OnLine reported several weeks ago (link), the official web site of 'Body of war' documentary, http://www.bodyofwar.com/ , has just put online a beautiful video conversation with Ed Vedder and Tomas Young, a 25 years old Iraq war veteran, who came home paralyzed. You can watch the video here. During the clip, you can hear Pearl Jam's singer playing parts of his 'No more' (previously known as 'No more war'), an anthem against the war, presented during his latest live appearances. The documentary score will also feature another unreleased Vedder song, written and played by him and called 'Long Nights', about Tomas Young's life and which can be heard playing background, together with the aforementioned 'No more', in the trailer on the website. At the moment, the documentary release date is still to be announced.
