Pearl Jam's new album going straight to "Rock Band"
If it's good enough for The Beatles, it's good enough for Pearl Jam, apparently: The Seattle band's new album "Backspacer" will be released on the "Rock Band" game simultaneous with its retail release on Sept. 20.
That means local fans will be able to "play" through the album before hearing it live at KeyArena on Sept. 21.
Backspacer may be downloaded for play on the Xbox on Sept. 20, on the Wii Sept. 22 and the PlayStation 3 on Sept. 24. Individual tracks will cost $2 and the full album will be $18, but the best deal may be a special CD with "free" download codes that Target will sell.
No word yet on whether Eddie Vedder will be a playable character.
