C'est plus ce que c'était les Ames Bros depuis.. longtemps.
La salle est en pleine ville, mais cela ressemble à une galerie marchande sans boutique. On a l'impression de rentrer dans une station de métro...

Un très bon concert pour clore ma série sur la côte Est: excellent public, gros smiles côté groupe et spectateurs et une belle setlist. En dehors des standards (j'étais assez proche de la setlist en fait! ), grosses réactions du public sur Alone, Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns, Crazy Mary et Go. Gros kif Van Halen avec Eruption > Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love (déjà jouée au même endroit en 2010, ça doit être lié à l'équipe de hockey), ce qui a fait du bien après Yellow Moon > Come Back > Future Days. Small Town a été jouée pour les "people in the back" dont je faisais partie (excellente place, j'ai pris des photos de la setlist, les partitions de Boom et les anti-sèche de Vedder). Très long speech sur le débat autour du contrôle des armes en intro de Wasted Reprise, Mike a pris le micro pour rendre hommage à une femme engagée dans la santé, et le final avec Fuckin' Up était terrible.

See you next year en Europe j'espère, en partageant tout ça en live avec des pjforumeurs!

(Ed says this next song is about being a parent. Someone in the audiences shouts “World Wide Suicide”. Ed laughs and says no, that isn’t the song but now he isn’t sure he will be able to sing the next one because he will be laughing about that. He goes on to say that the next song isn’t so much about the kids but the parents being able to spend time together. Only Ed says “fuck” a lot more and offers to explain what fuck means to the kids who have come to the show)

(Ed says “let’s thank Jeff and Stone for helping write that song.” He talks about Andy Wood and the themes of the songs they have been doing tonight. “But what the hell, it’s Friday night and I know Andy would approve of what’s about to happen.” Ed talks about how they played a certain song and said it was a one time only thing but when he got here today he realized he wanted to play it again. “But first Mike is gonna do this”.)

(Ed speaks emotionally about what had happened in Newtown last December. He got to meet with some of the parents and says we have to find some way of discussing how to help stop something like that happening. He notes that some people will want to defame those who speak out about this topic and try to prevent them from having a voice. He said we looked into it and the gun lobby isn’t the biggest or most powerful lobby. He speaks about for awhile and how important it is to protect our children and to have a voice.)

(Ed notes that there was a time when the band couldn’t play certain songs because they didn’t have a keyboardist. He introduces Boom and notes that Boom has family and that it is Matt and April’s anniversary. Ed holds up a sign and says, “I have no idea what it means.” Jeff says it “says Can’t Touch this so MC Hammer. Matt Cameron.” Ed also wants to sing happy birthday to Matt’s son Ray.)

Peut être que sur le leg 2, le fond de setlist sera différent...

A 23s, y a Stone qui demande à Eddie "Je peux aller boire une bière pendant que tu parles et que Mike fait son show ?" mais Eddie répond "la bière, après... tu vas encore bouger tes cheveux sur black..." et Stone repart avec un rictus frustré...

Dommage... j'aurais bien pris un petit Fixer sur cette tournée, vu la forme vocale de Vedder ils peuvent enfin la jouer dans la bonne tonalité.

ouais... mais c'est dingue qu'après l'avoir joué à chaque concert, bam, plus rien. Les anti-Sirens devraient attendre la tournée 2018

Oui, si je ne m'abuse, c'est la premiere fois ds l'histoire de PJ qu'il y a une structure de show figee à ce point sur 10 dates d'affilee, avec une bonne moitié des titres qu'on peut prédire à l'avance ? surprenant et decevant qd même, après 22 ans de set lists "free style"

une bonne moitié, c'est beaucoup, non? surtout que c'est relativement logique qu'ils jouent à chaque fois (ou presque) certains morceaux de LB. Et même s'il y a moins d'éléments de surprise, il sortent quand même quelques raretés, Fatal, Alone, Oceans en rappel. Faudrait qu'ils varient plus les morceaux de début de concert et de premier rappel... Peut-être que d'ici quelques dates (leg 2, tournée 2014) ils en auront marre de jouer Yellow Moon à chaque fois, par exemple.

Maintenant, c'est toujours nettement supérieur à 95% des groupes de cette taille qui jouent le même truc tous les soirs.

Allez, 13/14 titres qui sont du 90% sur tous les soirs. Presque une moitié, pas une bonne moitié
Mais évidemment, c'est tjs mieux que tous les groupes de cette catégorie, bien sur, on est tous ok sur ça. Je dis juste que leurs habitudes jusqu'alors étaient plus de jouer 3/4 titres inévitables, et le reste relevait plus de la loterie.

Pour les titres de LB, est ce qu'ils jouaient autant des titres de Backspacer lors de la tournée post sortie ? De mémoire, je ne crois pas mais ceci dit c'est aussi relatif à la qualité de l'album. Je pense que le groupe au global est plus fier de ce disque qu'il ne l'était de BS.
