notes:
Asking "How have you been?" after 'StBC,' Ed then says, "I would speak more but my English is not very good." Very shortly after 'Better Man' is started, Ed's guitar strap breaks and the song abruptly stops. He notices that the straps says it was made in Zurich. The song is restarted. 'Sometimes' is introduced as, "This song is in between always and never." After 'Jeremy,' the show is paused to try to understand something the crowd is saying. Ed asks, "Save the fucking drugs? You're going to have to hold up your hand ... one at a time, please. Oh, 'State of Love and Trust.' OK." They go on to play 'Off He Goes' but play 'SoL&T' next, with Ed substituting the words "save the fucking drugs" during the final chorus. As the encore begins, Ed comments, "You think of it as being very, very cold up here, but you get a whole shitload of people in one room and you don't even notice." Then, "This song is not written for you," leads in to 'Not for You.' 'Leaving Here' is started roughly and Ed notes it was "sorta shitty," so they add 'RitFW.'

November 9 Zurich show review
by: Joe Kiervin, Oakville, Ont. Canada
ticket While backpacking in Europe, I saw Pearl Jam for the first time ever and was blown away by the show. The evening was enhanced in every sense due to the heightened frame of mind I was in when Pearl Jam exploded onstage with "Animal."
The show was long (25 or 26 songs) but could have gone on forever and the crowd would have stayed and loved every second. Probably the best aspect of the concert was the minimal crowd (around 6,000) at the Hallenstadion. I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and would have been stuck with 20,000 other fans at Maple Leaf Gardens if I had seen PJ at home. Instead, we were free to range all over the stadium due to the general admission policy in effect.
Most notable songs were: Jeremy, Black, Better Man, Lukin, I Got Id, Animal, Daughter (w. Fade to Black), and State Of Love and Trust. Well, that's all, I'm heading to Australia on Jan. 26 to stay in Sydney until Christmas and am looking forward to a PJ tour Down Under!
Save Pearl Jam!
