Stone Temple Pilots Rehearse New And Old Material For Tour

Dean DeLeo spoke to Billboard about the band's upcoming tour plans, including a run in South America in December and a return to Europe in early 2011. The band is likely planning to play their current single "Take A Load Off" live for the first time on the upcoming dates.

"We've been in rehearsals the last week and a half," DeLeo tells Billboard.com. "We're playing some stuff we've never played live. We're doing some stuff from (1999's) 'No. 4' and some things off (1994's) 'Purple' that we haven't played since, like, '94." And, he adds with a laugh, "We actually worked up about five or six songs from the new record -- the fans' worst nightmare, right? 'We're gonna do a few songs from our new record...' "

Dean also mentioned the band is leaning towards "Cinnamon" as the next single off their self-titled album.

I can personally assure you he was NOT lip syncing. He was bent over trying to recover and still singing into the mic. I went over because I thought it was BS too. I was surprised. Scott is a freaking trooper.......

Scott is a true professional and musician. He only misses one phrase ("and I'm thinking" refrain), and then waits until the solo to get back up on stage.

A lot of frontmen might have left the stage/stopped the concert or canceled it all together out of sheer embarrassment. Scott gave it his all the entire freaking show, as did Eric, Dean & Robert!

Nah he is not lip syncing.

He finishes the phrase he is singing literally right before the fall. And he also gets up during a part he is not singing so he won't mess up the lyrics.

He fell off the stage, but he kept singing. That's what people who were front row at the show said. I think I'll believe those guys over internet speculation.

Also, notice how he waits until AFTER the chorus to get back on stage. That's because he's waiting for a point where he isn't singing so he won't interupt the song.
