Je préfère largement voir Scott comme ça que sous haute dose de LSD ou que sais-je comme je l'ai vu en concert dans les années 90 avec STP ou plus tard avec VR

pour la forme je suis d'accord avec toi ça fait plaisir mais la playback je pense que malheureusement il en fait bien. Si tu écoutes la video c'est bien trop clean et parfait pour être du live. Je pense que cette vidéo a d'ailleurs été faite dans ce but après le coup de la dernière fois quand il a continué à chanter après sa chute .

Maintenant j'espère de tout coeur me tromper.

Le chanteur Scott Weiland vient d'annoncer qu'il allait sortir ses mémoires au début de l'année prochaine. On va enfin tout savoir sur sa vie cachée...

Scott Weiland est le chanteur des Stone Temple Pilots. Après leur dissolution, il a aussi été celui de Velvet Revolver aux côtés d'un certain Slash, ex-Guns N'Roses.

Le livre de Weiland s'intitulera "Not Dead & Not For Sale". Sa date de sortie a été fixée au 8 mars 2011. Il a été écrit en collaboration avec le biographe David Ritz. Le chanteur y parlera de sa carrière musicale, mais aussi de ses multiples problèmes avec les drogues.

Scott Weiland est en ce moment en tournée aux États-Unis avec les Stone Temple Pilots, reformés au début de l'année 2008. Ils assurent la promotion de leur nouvel album éponyme sorti au mois de mai dernier.

NEW YORK (Billboard) – Stone Temple Pilots have postponed 12 dates on their tour in the wake of singer Scott Weiland's rambling speech onstage during the trek's Houston stop.

The group has taken a "short break" beginning with the show scheduled for Tuesday in El Paso, according to its announcement, and will return to the road on October 8 in Tampa.

The band did not give a specific reason for the break, but Weiland's outburst on Sunday may have contributed.

According to the Houston Press, STP took the stage about one hour after opener Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's set, after which Weiland offered slurred tangents about his in-ear monitors, past drug use and thoughts on grunge music.

"The 8th of December will be the time when I stopped doing dope," Weiland said, and then hushed the crowd as it began to cheer. "No, no, no, no," he continued. "I started drinking again. My brother died, I got divorced (from) my wife, and my whole world basically spun around. So you know what? I'm going to take care of myself because that's what I need to take care of. Instead of just having a few shows, I want to have a whole hell of a lot of shows."

Stone Temple Pilots saw its first album in nine years debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in May. But the self-titled set quickly slid down the charts and it has sold just 130,000 copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It looks like Scott Weiland’s demons have returned. . . again. On stage meltdown in Houston?

Scott Weiland and his band Stone Temple Pilots played a show in Huston on Sunday night and reports are coming out that Weiland had a very public meltdown on stage. He slurred his words while talking to the crowd, went off and crazy rants about a variety of topics and admitted that he had started drinking again. All of this after being more than an hour late to start the show which forced the band to cut five songs from its set list. There are also reports from those who were at the show that Weiland used a backing vocal track. To help back that allegation are videos of a show STP recently did in Cincinnati where it clearly looks like Weiland is lip synching but is off time.

After the show the band rescheduled a dozen shows so that they can take a short break before resuming their tour in mid-October. Presumably this short break is so that the band can either get Scott Weiland some help, or decide what to do about him.

This is not the first time Weiland has seen drinking and/or drugs derail his career and life. He has battled it for years. His drinking and drug uses is considered to be one of the primary reasons for STP’s original break up in 2001. Scott Weiland went solo after leaving Stone Temple Pilots and put out an album called 12 Bar Blues. As the album was released Weiland was arrested in Manhattan for buying heroin. Because of his past probation violations Weiland ended up in jail.

2003 saw Weiland join together with Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum of Guns N’ Roses to form Velvet Revolver. Velvet Revolver’s first album Contraband was a big success debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and selling over three million copies. In 2007 the band released their second album, Libertad. While it didn’t sell as well, the band prepared for a tour only to cancel when Scott Weiland checked himself into rehab. About this time Weiland and Dean Deleo started talking again and got STP back together for a summer tour of festivals. In 2008 Weiland officially left Velvet Revolver and rejoined Stone Temple Pilots full time.

Scott Weiland has been married twice and has two children with model and soon to be ex-wife Mary Forsberg. Weiland’s younger brother Michael died of a drug overdose in 2007. Scott has said that he has been diagnosed a bipolar, but that he doesn’t take medicine for it. He has wrestled with drugs and booze since the early days of STP and it seems now, with this public meltdown and the rescheduling of half their tour, that his demons are back. Weiland has taken a lot of flack over the years from people who claim he has stolen his style from Eddie Vedder. While he is not the vocalist that Vedder is, Weiland is a very good singer with immense talent and is a vocal chameleon. It is a shame to see such a talent go to waste. Hopefully he will eventually find a way to balance his problems and his career. If he doesn’t the future for him doesn’t look so bright.

Juste avant de sortir, j'aime bien STP mais franchement, une bio de Weiland, ça doit être à peine plus consistent que celle de Justin Bieber, ou tenir dans la première page de la préface de celle de Keith Richards !

Cela avait fait l'objet de nombreuses rumeurs il y a quelques mois, cette fois, c'est officiel, les Velvet Revolver ont bien enregistré un album avec Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) au chant. Sauf qu'il ne sortira jamais. La raison officielle étant que le groupe n'est pas satisfait du rendu final. Du coup, il se murmure que Scott Weiland, viré du groupe il y a deux ans, pourrait reprendre du service...
