es-tu sûr que c'est le même que celui de dime? c'est un soundboard pourtant (je ne l'ai pas encore écouté)

je dois à nouveau de cité Mookie, même conclusion que toi mais j'aime bien, cela fait plaisir de retrouver un léger esprit de STP
j'ai aussi besoin de beaucoup plus d'écoutes

le batteur est très bon (notamment sur Goodbye)

plus j'écoute l'album, plus je trouve que la voix du chanteur ressemble à Cornel et que ça n'a rien à voir avec STP (à part peut-être quelques lignes de basse ou de guitare...)

Il se défoule bien sur ce titre ! Ca m'a un peu scotché à la première écoute !

En tout cas j'aime bien ce qu'ils font, c'est pas révolutionnaire mais ça passe bien !

Les Velvet Revolver, formés d'anciens membres de Guns 'N Roses et de Stone Temple Pilots, travaillent à leur prochain disque en compagnie du réputé réalisateur Brendan O'Brien (Audioslave, Pearl Jam).

Matt Sorum a écrit un message sur le site du groupe qui démontre que le prochain disque des Velvet Revolver pourrait se faire attendre : « Rome n'a pas été créée en un seul jour, alors nous serons tous heureux lorsque le disque sera terminé. »
Le premier disque du groupe, Contraband, a connu énormément de succès en 2004.

La formation Velvet Revolver a commencé l'enregistrement de son nouvel album et le groupe a fait appel au renommé producteur Brendan O'Brien («Pearl Jam», «Incubus») qui sera derrière les consoles pour ce deuxième effort. Il semble que le groupe soit revenu sur sa décision de collaborer avec les producteurs Pharrell Williams et Rick Rubin dont les noms avaient été cités au cours des derniers mois.

Matt Sorum, le batteur du groupe, a écrit sur son blog que la pré-production de l'album était entamée et que les choses évoluaient rapidement maintenant. «Rome n'a pas été bâti en un jour alors je crois que tout le monde sera très content lorsque ça sera terminé» explique le batteur.

En octobre dernier, le chanteur Scott Weiland avait annoncé que «Libertad», le titre provisoire du nouvel album, serait lancé à la fin du printemps 2007.

Ce nouvel effort succèdera à «Contreband» paru en juin 2004.

Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland has spoken to Billboard about the band's second album, for which recording is finally getting underway after months of false starts. Although Weiland had said in several earlier interviews that the project would be a concept record, he now says he has "thrown that idea out the window," adding, "In my opinion, there are so many schlock concept albums that have come out in the past year. The ground is way too over-fertile with concept records. I prefer to write a lean and rather vicious rock 'n' roll record. I think that would be a better contribution to rock'n'roll at this moment."

There is no word on whether the album will keep its tentative title of Libertad. A mid-to-late-spring release is planned for the disc, which will follow up the group's 2004 debut, Contraband.

Velvet Revolver is working on the CD with producer Brendan O'Brien after an initial stint with Rick Rubin "did not work out," according to Weiland.

The former Stone Temple Pilots vocalist said that the band first started writing new songs about six months ago, but then "really kind of flat-lined for a while." Weiland admitted, "There was a definite loss of inspiration for a bit there...Once Brendan came on board, I guess it was kind of like a shot in the arm. It was a new energy."

Brendan O'Brien has produced or mixed records by many of the major rock bands of the last 20 years, including Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave.

Weiland has also been working on his first solo effort since 1998's 12 Bar Blues, which will come out in late 2007 or early 2008 through Softdrive Records, which the singer co-owns.

Scott Weiland is growing up, and so are his ambitions. While he's been known for wild and wooly behavior, his most recent move sees him maturely eying the future. Weiland has signed a deal with Sony/RED Distribution and New West Records to handle his very own independent label, Softdrive Records. The label started to take shape back in 2000, when Weiland began it as nothing more than a production team. By 2003 Weiland gave the project the name Softdrive and decided to shift its focus to putting out records. It now stands to reap the benefits of major label muscle while maintaining its indie feel and attention to detail. "Softdrive will provide an outlet for an eclectic group of artists to express themselves creatively, as well as achieve their personal and professional goals," label General Manager Dana Dufine said in a statement. Weiland and partners Dufine and Douglas Grean have already signed LA pop-punk band the Actual and Nashville country newcomer Tommy Joe Wilson, while Weiland's second solo album, due out on Softdrive, is also taking shape. The label's first release is likely to be the Actual's In Stitches, and is expected sometime early in 2007. New West is home to many alt-country artists like Steve Earle, Old 97's, Ben Lee, and Drive-By Truckers.

Je ne suis pas très convaincu par Army of Anyone, même si je ne trouve rien de vraiment mauvais... Pour moi ça ne vaut ni Filter (surtout Short Bus) ni STP... tant pis.

Robert DeLeo. Dean DeLeo. Touring, once again. This, my friends is enough reason to hear this recording. Out on the road for the first time since the fall of 2002 w/ Stone Temple Pilots - the newly formed Army Of Anyone were powerful, incredible, & joyous to see on stage together. Performing Filter, STP & songs off of their debut self-titled record. Also, included here was the performance of the instrumental "Used To Know Her", which features the DeLeo brothers doing what they do best. This B-Side is very reminiscent to something which would belong on "Shangri-La Dee Da". But it goes perfectly as a B-Side to "Army Of Anyone".

Also note, I amplified the right channel by 0.5% due to it being slightly lower than the left. It may have been due to the way I was standing in accordance to the right stack. One final thing, Dean's guitar was not properly mixed for the 1st two songs & finally comes into into the house mix towards the end of "Father Figure".

Je viens seulement de lire mes RSS et de voir ce show, je vais le prendre rien que pour entendre les reprises de STP.
