Blues Funeral is the new Mark Lanegan Band record, the first since 2004's Bubblegum.

It was recorded in Hollywood, California by Alain Johannes at his 11ad studio. The music was played by Johannes and Jack Irons with appearances from Greg Dulli, Josh Homme et al.

Mark Lanegan has sung with Screaming Trees, Queens Of the Stone Age, The Twilight Singers, The Gutter Twins, Soulsavers and Isobel Campbell. He resides in Los Angeles and has two dogs.

Blues Funeral will be available digitally and on CD and LP on February 6th, 2012 via 4AD.

Je ne suis pas fan des best of à vrai dire, mais j'ai un peu écouté Sweet Oblivion et ça me plait bien

alors ça donne quoi pour ceux qui ont eu la chance de l'écouter ??? Can't wait..

Je l'écoute en ce moment même. Je ne sais pas trop quoi penser. On a parfois l'impression qu'il a trop écouté les derniers Depeche mode. Pas que je n'aime pas ces derniers, bien au contraire, mais je ne m'attendais pas à ça.

Je le trouve très très bon cet album, très varié, voix et chansons toujours aussi envoutantes,mélange de styles très réussi, à part peut être "Ode to old disco" justement un peu trop éléc-disco à mon goût et trop longue.. Mais il y a vraiment des pépites sur cet album,une réussite !! Et c'est aussi chouette d'entendre à nouveau le jeu de Jack Irons,jeu typique et reconnaissable sur le fameux "Quiver syndrome"...

Ouaip, Sweet Oblivion est sans doute le plus accessible et également un superbe album.
