AUDIOSLAVE: New Audio Interview With CHRIS CORNELL

A 15-minute audio interview with former SOUNDGARDEN and current AUDIOSLAVE singer Chris Cornell, conducted on Wednesday, July 26 by "The BJ Shea Morning Experience" on the Seattle station 99.9 KISW, has been posted online at this location. During the interview, Cornell talks about the AUDIOSLAVE's upcoming "Revelations" album, the rumors that the band is breaking up, and his upcoming solo appearance on the "Casino Royale" soundtrack.

"Revelations" comes out on September 5, with the first single, "Original Fire", at radio stations now.

AUDIOSLAVE has yet to announce tour plans in support of the album.

Two new tunes from "Revelations" can be heard in the new crime thriller "Miami Vice", which arrives this Friday (July 28).

-Original Fire is about the pre-1990 Seattle scene and how the remaining bands are still approaching music in the same way. Usually that spirit fades out, but it hasnt in this case.

-talks about what Soundgarden guys are doing: Ben/Hater; Matt/PJ

-DJs mention MLB cover at Gorge. CC asks what song they did.

-talks about how Andy being a born rockstar and how MLB broke the repetition of Slaughter/Ratt (same chords and suject matter for every song)

-Ed/PJ were a second-coming of that type of life being infused into the scene.

-loves to play Grand Theft Auto, rest of the guys like Madden football

-new solo album will be finished recording in the next couple of months

-has never made love to Audioslave or Soundgarden music; prefers Barry White, Al Green or no music.

-AIC reunion: saw them recently; thinks its great.

The Grammy-nominated quartet (vocalist Chris Cornell, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk) recorded REVELATIONS at Henson Studios in Los Angeles with acclaimed producer Brendan O'Brien. O'Brien, whose myriad of credits include Pearl Jam and Bruce Spingsteen, mixed Audioslave's Out of Exile record and the Live in Cuba CD and DVD. His history with the band goes back even farther, as he produced Rage Against The Machine albums Evil Empire (1996), The Battle of Los Angeles (1999) and Renegades (2000) and mixed Soundgarden's Superunknown (1994). REVELATIONS follows 2005's Out of Exile, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 and featured the Grammy nominated single "Doesn't Remind Me."

oui ça represente leur espece de logo de flamme en plaque continentale. Quand à l'album j'espère qu'ils vont se reprndre un peu tout ces gens parce que leurs deux precedent j'ai pas vraiment accroché....

j'aime aussi la nouvelle pochette du nouveau audioslave c'est trés originale vivement l'album j'éspére qu'il sera mieux que out of exile qui est trés moyen en comparaison avec le premier qui était génial

Chris Cornell composera la B.O. du nouveau James Bond

Sauf rebondissement de dernière minute, on connaît enfin le nom de l'heureux compositeur de la chanson-thème de Casino Royale, le 21e épisode des aventures de James Bond. Et depuis A-Ha en 1987 (The Living Daylights, B.O. de Tuer n'est pas jouer), ce sera à nouveau un homme ! C'est en effet Chris Cornell, ex-Savage Garden aujourd'hui chanteur d'Audioslave, qui a été choisi pour en être l'auteur-interprète. Rappelons que Casino Royale, de Martin Campbell, avec Daniel Craig dans le rôle de l'agent 007, sortira en salles le 22 novembre prochain. (Jordane Guignon)
