Le tout premier jet du fest c'était cz moi à Andrésy dans la salle des fêtes.......tout les jeuens de la ville plus des personnes des alentours......;pê 300-400 personnes max. Il y avait Sloy, enhancer, prohibition et diabologum...et peut être d'autres groupes, je dois encore avoir l'affiche.......1996 je coirs.....'tain ça date; Et dire que j'étais pas resté pour Diabologum .

Sonic Youth has revealed the track listing for their upcoming Starbucks Records-released hits compilation, Hits are For Squares. The songs were selected by a number of celebrity fans including Dave Eggers and Mike Watt, Portia de Rossi, Beck, Mike D, David Cross, Flaming Lips, Gus Van Zant, Eddie Vedder, Catherine Keener and more. The band's frontman (and frequent documentary talking head) Thurston Moore

In a way, Sonic Youth has a branded name. People know the name, but not necessarily our music, which might be a little too outsider for some. And when they do hear a little something, it doesn't tell the whole story. I thought it would be interesting to have a CD available in a store like Starbucks where the casual consumer can sort of have access to [our music] more readily.
The set is due out June 10, 2008.

Say it ain't so. The most alternative parents on the planet, Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, have announced their split after 27 years of marriage. The Sonic Youth linchpins began dating in '81, were married by '84 and welcomed daughter Coco in '94. Together they formed the most adorable family band to ever grace Stars Hollow.

Sadly, a statement from Matador implies the split might impact Sonic Youth's future beyond a November tour of South America: "Musicians Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, married in 1984, are announcing they have separated. Sonic Youth, with both Kim and Thurston involved, will proceed with its South American tour dates in November. Plans beyond that tour are uncertain. The couple has requested respect for their personal privacy and does not wish to issue further comment."
