Well, this won't be all that complete since I drove back to the Portland area (4 1/2 hours) and have had only about 2 hours of sleep. Plus I'm sure other people can write better than me. So here it goes.
First off the crowd was amazing. I was in row 14 on Stone's side (THANKS 10C!!!) It was a little annoying at first during the acoustic set because people were still coming in and the seats had no room between rows so people had to walk on the chairs to get to their seats. But it wasn't too bad because after all PJ was on stage.
I Believe in Miracles was a great opener. Ed screws up the lyrics to Off He Goes and afterward said that he thought that song was always too long anyway. Lowlight was dedicated to the setting sun behind the stage. There were many references to New Orleans and the crises down there, and Ed said that some of the money from that show they were going to donate to the relief effort. The Crazy Mary solo started with Boom and the keys, but Mike finished it, and boy did he finish it! I thought it was a great mix instead of just a full Boom solo. The crowd did the do do do do do do doos a the end of Black. Then something that I never thought I'd see happened. Hard To Imagine. I can't really describe it other that Unbelievable!!!!!!!!
There was a 5 minute break while the electrics were were set up. It started out so intense. All the way from Last Exit through Not For You. Of coarse Even Flow was incredible with Mike playing the solo behind his head! Then it slowed down a bit. Given To Fly had a lyric change of "he made it to the river, had a smoke on a cliff". Undone was played live for the first time Then After In My Tree, it kicked back up with SOLAT, Alive, and Porch. Porch started with the slower funky riff before it kicked in.
Tom Petty is playing the Gorge tonight and Saturday, and Ed had us chanting several times, "Hello Tom... Come Down Tom" trying to get him out of his room and come on stage.
The First Encore was slower paced until the last song. Ed screwed up Better Man. Then he stated how Tom would never do that. "He's a professional. He practices". They start it back up and it ends fine
The second encore starts with Ed solo. He gives a short story about Tom and him at a Bridge benefit. Once again several "Hello Tom... Come down Tom" chants. He the plays I Won't Back Down with a cheat sheet for lyrics. I think he got a few wrong any ways. Then Last Kiss, and an amazing song in Crown Of Thorns. Then another intense song with Blood.
The web-sites are saying that Yellow Ledbetter and Baba O'Riley were part of the second encore, but they actually took about a 2 minute break off-stage so it was actually a 3rd encore. Of coarse YL was amazing and I thought it was about over, but then Stone's tech handed him another guitar so I got excited that we still weren't finished.
I haven't seen this band so intense and electrifying in a long time. It reminded me of the early 90's. You people in Canada are in for a real treat!!!

The show was incredible! One of my favorites. They played LowLight for me!!!!!!!! I've wanted to hear that live for a long time. The crowd was great I thought. Everyone, including me, was jumping around and singing along as loud as they could. It's amazing to see how many people love a band just as much as me. I love PJ fans.
The band was great! Eddie had a lot of energy and was ripping through the songs. His voice sounded great. I love when he jumps over the speakers. It's so funny. I thought for a second during the one song(sorry, can't remember which one) when he came by the side of the stage, that he was going to start climbing the scaffling. I think some other people at first thought he was going to start climbing too. I loved the acoustic pre-set. It was great. It happened right as the sun was setting. What a beautiful backdrop that venue has too. It was a perfect day for it all. Then, the second set was amazing. They started with LAST EXIT, one of my fav. fast ones. Given to Fly was awesome... I love one all the hands fly up in the air during the song. It's a great sight to see. Undone was great to hear. I remember playing that one during the election last year. Hard to Imagine was great to hear live too. They did an amazing job on that one.
All 3 hours and about 15 minutes was incredible. I'll never forget it.
yellowledbeccaSeriously, the best show I've seen! Not only did I get kickass tickets from the 10C- THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!, but I was front and center, able to take some great pictures without a flash before the sunset... So here, in no particular order, were the many reasons I loved this show:
I believe in Miracles, Low Light, Crazy Mary, HARD TO IMAGINE!?!, Last Exit, ALONE!!, Not for you, Corduroy, Dissident, undone (a nod from matt as I drummed the crazy ending riffs in the air), IN MY TREE!! (MY FAVORITE SONG EVER! That made my night!), State of love and trust, porch, Crown of Thorns!, Blood (who knew??), and of course, the Baba at the end to close it off, even though it was fucked up, but with all of the former reasons, it's all good!
Also, at the end, a friend was able to snag some items from the backstage area, such as the ORIGINAL second set's setlist, one stone's picks, and a FREE poster... (Thanx a million Nate!!!)-- btw- setlist included songs that were not played, like Masters of War (set 1), down (1st encore), u (2nd encore), and finally, bee girl (3rd encore)... talk about having a hell of a collector's item!!!!! I hope all of you had as phenomenal experience as I have, being this my 6th and BEST PJ show EVER!!!
