Just walked in the door after driving home from Vancouver.
First off, it was really cool meeting a bunch of you fellow RM'ers at the show tonight. satan's taco (Kyle) - fun tailgating, nice work getting here from GA, and thanks for the smokes...regalo (your real name? ), Green Habit (Nick), yieldgirl (Julie), serjical strike (Ara)...and a few others - sorry I'm blanking right now [I'll post pics tomorrow].
Anyway...about the show. I'll skip the lengthy review this time. All I can say is that after the magical concert at the Gorge, I thought that tonight would be a bit of a let down. Not the case AT ALL. If the Gorge was the best PJ show I've ever seen, then tonight was a pretty close second. The energy level was insane (having good seats - floor row 8 - probably helped, but I don't think it would have mattered where you were ... anywhere in the building was probably sufficient). For those of you with tickets to upcoming shows - you're in for a treat. The band is clicking on all cylinders right now.
No new songs...hmmm, wonder why? Anyway, who cares. They played Bee Girl along with a number of staples. Great crowd tonight. Thanks to the security guy near us for pointing out the one topless chick in the crowd...
Luckily my seat was on the aisle so I was able to jump around and freak out quite a bit. I think my neck is gonna' be sore tomorrow. My buddy and I drove around Vancouver for an hour looking for a tattoo parlor...we were fully ready and inspired to get PJ tats...we finally parked outside a bar and asked the bouncer where to go a little after midnight, and he said nothing would be open that late (in retrospect, it's probably a good thing...I have zero tats at the moment, and deep down I think I'd like to keep it that way).
Anywho...I gotta get to bed - big day tomorrow. Like I said, I'll post my pics sometime after I get home from watching the Dawgs trample Air Force.
