Pearl Jam boosts 'Cold Case'

CBS' Cold Case (12.9 million viewers, 2.9 adults 18-49 rating) was up 38% to deliver its best performance in six weeks. The two-part season finale featured the music of Pearl Jam, with several cuts from the recent re-release of the band’s 1991 album Ten.

Case has been considered on the bubble for a renewal, though recent whispers say that a pickup is probable and Sunday's performance certainly doesn't hurt. The Unit (10 million, 2.4) is more shaky, though the drama went up a few tenths.

J'ai pas le bouquin sous les yeux je peux mettre les commentaires plus precis plus tard mais en gros il commence à dire que quand il a rencontré les gars à leurs débuts il se souvient de Stone très timide mais sympa et d'eddy à une période modeste qu'il voulait être ami avec tt le monde les fans... (je sais plus comment c'est dit exactement mais ça laisse ss entendre qu'il a changé) c'était au moment ou ils commencaient a être de + en + connus avec Ten , ils tournaient avec eux et les smashing pumpkins, ensuite Nirvana devenait enorme et ils ont dit aux gars de PJ s'ils pouvaient les remplacer pas Nirvana ce qu'ils ont fait mais les SP ont pas voulu joué avec Nirvana (Courtney omnnipresente et ex de Corgan) et PJ et revenu.

Ensuite il parle d'Eddy venant sur scène avec d'autres artistes (pas les red hot je sais plus peut etre Neil Young) pendant des concerts de charité en le decrivant comme le mec musicien dans l'ombre qui vient que pour la musique puisque venant faire les coeurs caché au fond de la scene.

Enfin il dit qu'a la periode One hot minute ils devaient joué avec PJ, beatie boys etc pour le tibet free ou je sais plus kel concert de charite mais ils allaient se faire jetés pour je sais plus koi et PJ a dit aux organisateurs de leur donner du temps de scene sur le leur sinon ils ne joueraient pas non plus, Kiedis dit qu'il se rappellera toujours de ça, qu'ils sont restés amis...

notes: Several of the bands scheduled for the first day of this large benefit show were rescheduled to this day, pushing back PJ’s scheduled start time. Toward the end of ‘Hail Hail,’ Mike is smashing his guitar onto the stage with his tech flying out of the wings to try to save it, Mike sees him coming but smashes it anyway! Ed comments, “You do know this is a nonviolent concert, don’t you?!” As he is introducing ‘Brain of J,’ someone in the crowd throws an object that knocks a drink out of Ed’s hands and onto his shirt at the end of ‘Hail Hail,’ with Ed’s cool response: “Thank you.” Before ‘Even Flow,’ there seems to be a discussion about what to play and Ed likens it to countries having troubles making decisions about issues. “This song is about me, it’s about you, it’s about everyone” is the intro to ‘Do the Evolution’ which ripped along until the middle when everyone got off rhythm for a second. Ed changes the “fortunate as me” line in ‘Wishlist’ to “fortunate as us all” and the reprise verse is tacked onto the ending. Before ‘Better Man,’ Ed rants about “this is going to be dedicated to the president, because we can’t really find a better man” and talks about how the song is similar to what is going on in Tibet as they are both about struggles between two people. A pair of gold wings adorn the top of Ed’s amp. Ed is happy and they all play well, not great, and the sound system is lacking. The set ended early after ‘Better Man,’ (”I dedicate this to the abusive relationship between us and our government … seems like no matter what we do, we’re always getting shit on.”) The ‘Save it for Later’ tag is outstanding! The Red Hot Chili Peppers take the stage unannounced using PJ’s equipment. Flea comments: “We’d like to thank Pearl Jam for letting us have a little bit of their set.”

Oui j'ai relu le passage en fait il dit qu'ils devaient jouer mais a cause d'une tempete qui arrivait ils voulaient annuler le set des red hot jusqu'à ce que pj s'en mele...

Entendu mercredi soir, sur betv, canal+, la présentation du festival de Cannes vers 19h00 avec la chanson "Rise" d'Eddie....a vrai dire j'ai jamais trop accroché la bo d'into the wild, sans plus quoi, mais avec ces images,...c'était vraiment chouette...

Lundi 11 mai ou mardi 12, je ne sais plus trop, au 20H de France 2, un reportage sur la prochaine mission Ariane au profit du sattelite Hubble, qui doit capter les rayons issus du Big Bang, avec quelques illustrations de ce qu'il a déjà capté... Et là, l'illustration de Binaural en pleine face à la place de Pujadas. Même si c'est loin d'être la meilleure de PJ, c'est toujours ça !
