Le communiqué sur 10C sur Myspace:

STONE GOSSARD DEBUTS NEW MUSIC FROM FORTHCOMING SOLO PROJECT ONLINE TODAY

Digital Music and Videos Launched in Conjunction with Eco-Themed Concerts in Boston, NYC, L.A. and San Francisco This October (With Your Chance at Limited Ten Club Tickets)

Beginning today, new music from Stone will be available as streaming live music videos along with downloadable audio tracks at http://www.pearljam.com/stonegossard , a newly launched site that will be an ongoing resource for Stone's music and special projects. The initial release will include Stone's debut tune Your Flames (studio track) with one live music video and a corresponding live audio track. Check back September 24th and October 1st for additional, exclusive live video and audio tracks.

This digital release helps to kick-off Timberland’s DIG IT campaign; a multi-city initiative bringing together eco-minded, activists and artists for daylong re-greening efforts and a nightly musical celebration with Stone Gossard and the Hank Khoir (featuring notable Northwest artists Barbara Ireland and the Roy Kay Trio) along with special guests in Boston (October 1, 2008), New York (October 4, 2008), Los Angeles (October 11, 2008) and San Francisco (October 18, 2008).

A limited edition number of Ten Club tix will be made available for purchase starting Wednesday, Sept. 24th at tenclub.net for $40 per pair. Proceeds from the sale of these tickets go to Conservation International whose mission is to conserve the Earth's living heritage, global biodiversity, and to demonstrate that human societies are able to live harmoniously with nature. All other tickets to these intimate concerts will be given out to volunteers who are participating in Timberland's DIG IT daytime tree planting and re-greening events.

Community Re-Greening
For the daytime community greening events, Timberland will partner with American Forests, the non-profit organization focused on planting trees for environmental restoration and pioneering the science and practice of urban forestry. Timberland and American Forests will enlist approximately 200-300 volunteers to help plant trees in each city with the aid of local partners. Each organization will target an environmentally neglected area in their city and plant trees, clean sites, and educate neighbors about the importance of maintaining these new green spaces in their communities.

Pearl Jam's Gossard Preps Solo Effort, Shows
Stone Gossard

septembre 17, 2008 , 3:30 PM ET

Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
It's solo work season in the Pearl Jam camp. Following the recent release of bassist Jeff Ament's "Tone," guitarist Stone Gossard plans to release his second solo project in the coming months.

One track from the as-yet-untitled effort, "Your Flames," can be purchased in both studio and live versions from Pearl Jam's Web site, which is also home to a dedicated Gossard page featuring live-in-the-studio videos.

Gosard collaborated on the new music with singer/songwriter Pete Droge, vocalist Barb Ireland and multi-instrumentalist Hans Teuber, among others

The project is being tied into Timberland's Dig It campaign, which promotes environmental activism through music. Gossard will play four October live dates in support of the initiative with his band Hank Khoir, featuring a rotating cast of musicians.

Tickets to those shows will be primarily distributed to people who volunteer for daytime "re-greening" events in each city. A limited number of tickets will be given away with purchase of select Timberland products, while others will be sold through Pearl Jam's Ten Club fan organization, with proceeds to benefit Conservation International.

Here are the Dig It tour dates:

Oct. 1: Boston (Wilbur Theatre)
Oct. 4: Brooklyn, N.Y. (Warsaw)
Oct. 11: Los Angeles (Avalon Theatre)
Oct. 18: San Francisco (Grand Ballroom)

Du coup j'aimerais bien entendre un duo Vedder/Gossard, acoustique. Une reprise peut-être.
