Scott il fait partie de la même famille que les Layne Staley, River Phoenix ou Frusciante (qui est revenue miraculeusement je ne sais pas comment)...l'hero aura raison de lui. C'est triste mais je vois pas comment il va s'en sortir.

RollingStone.com spoke exclusively with VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash today regarding the band's decision to split with frontman Scott Weiland.

On Weiland's departure:

"Everybody’s just very relieved. This is something that’s been coming down for a while. I know everybody is tying the STP [STONE TEMPLE PILOTS reunion tour] thing to it, but it started way before that. We just had a lot of commitments to fulfill, so we just had to drag this thing out until the obligations were finished. Basically, we're just excited about finding someone else and moving on."

On the search for a new frontman:

"There's some people, but it's really premature to start naming names. We actually worked with a guy, I won't mention his name, before we left to go to the UK and there just wasn't enough to break him in, so we're gonna work with him again some more, and maybe some other guys as well."

On Weiland's recommendation that the band hire former SKID ROW vocalist Sebastian Bach:

"I thought [Weiland] could be a little bit more imaginative. I'm not sure if that was meant to be a pot shot or what. Whatever, it's not worth any real drama."

Hey Friends, Want to give a very special thanks to our amazing crew, These are the guys and girl that work there asses off bouncing around on a tour bus then getting up after no sleep to set up all the gear, get the dressing rooms ready, food for the crew and band etc etc. Hard working dedicated people who love the traveling rock n roll show. They are the foundation of Velvet Revolver. Love U guys!!!! And as you all know by now it was our last show with Scott Weiland It was great to be in the UK and Europe playing for all you great fans. Thank you for your support as well as your passion. you people go crazy and we love it. Took some pictures with my girl In Amsterdam before we left for the airport today. Feeling good about the future. Going to get back to work right away on some new music and hope to have exciting news soon.
As for Scott I wish him well.

Salut, je vois qu'il y a eu du mouvement ces derniers jours ( je me suis absenté 4 jours avec madame à Rome....pas mal ça...) ......dispute, séparation , règlements de compte.....c'est clair qu'après ce que j'ai pu voir à l'AB dimanche je voyais mal une autre issue.
Sur la video que tu mets en ligne Oli, on me voit à l'extrémité droite, de côté, pendant qques secondes, c'est après avoir fait la photo avec lui.
Et pour répondre à la question héro ou alcool, je pencherais plus côté héro car je n'ai jamais vu quelqu'un dans cet état, vraiment.
Comme je l'ai dit à Oli, la rumeur court que la voix de Scott était doublée le jour du concert à l'AB!!!Donc pas de playback mais une bande enregistrée sur laquelle il peut chanter...

quelle épave, c'est pas croyable... je me demandais vraiment pourquoi les STP se reformaient, et pourquoi leur tournée était aussi longue, mais bon ça ne fait aucun doute, faut bien payer l'héro... j'espère qu'il ne finira pas seul, oublié de tous, overdosé dans son appart et découvert quatre jours après...

Stone Temple Pilots Reunite for Tour

LOS ANGELES (AP) — After a five-year breakup and nearly eight-year absence from the concert scene, Stone Temple Pilots will reunite for a North American tour.

On Monday, Singer Scott Weiland, guitarist Dean DeLeo, bassist Robert DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz revealed the details of their 65-city tour, set to begin May 17 in Columbus, Ohio.

"The story's not finished," Weiland told The Associated Press. "There's more to be revealed and more to be told."

DeLeo said the band plans to record a new album after the tour, which is set to wrap in November.

Formed in 1992, the band has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide.

The Grammy-winning rockers celebrated their announcement with a private show in the Hollywood Hills.

They're scheduled to make their first national television appearance May 1 on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

Weiland, 40, has been dogged by drug problems since the band's early days. His arrests for drug possession and stints in rehab led the group to cancel tour dates and contributed to their breakup. Weiland pleaded not guilty last month to charges of driving under the influence of drugs stemming from a November car crash.

After Stone Temple Pilots' split, Weiland formed the rock group Velvet Revolver. On April 1, his bandmates — Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner — announced that Weiland was no longer part of the group.

"Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on," Slash said in a statement.

Two days later, Stone Temple Pilots announced their reunion.
