Fuse, the national music television network, has signed a three-year agreement with the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, to become the exclusive television partner of the festival, which takes place on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, June 12-15. The deal marks the first time in its seven-year history that Bonnaroo has ever aired on a national television network and will include live on-air programming and on-demand content, as well as extensive marketing and promotion. This year's festival will feature performances by PEARL JAM, METALLICA, JACK JOHNSON, KANYE WEST and ROBERT PLANT & ALISON KRAUSS, along with more than 100 other bands.

If 2008 headliners Pearl Jam get their pick, their set'll welcome one of Nashville's most visible rock providers.
"I'd love to have Jack White up," Billboard quoted Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready as saying in a recent rock journo conference call to promote the festival. "I think he's just a phenomenal guitar player. I'd love to see him play up close ... because he's got a killer voice and he's a great lead player, too. That would be exciting to me."

White's Raconteurs are racking up other festival plans, meanwhile: The Anthony Kiedis-curated New American Music Union festival, set for August in Pittsburgh, brings the Raconteurs out alongside the likes of Bob Dylan, The Roots, Gnarls Barkley and others, Billboard also tipped.

Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters to salute the Who

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Pearl Jam, the Foo Fighters and the Flaming Lips will pay tribute to the Who during VH1's "Rock Honors" charity concert in Los Angeles on July 12.

The event, now in its third year, will be held at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. Highlights will air on the lifestyle cable network five days later.

The Who, led by sole surviving members guitarist Pete Townshend and singer Roger Daltrey, will also perform during the taping.

NEW YORK, NY, May 21, 2008 – VH1 has just confirmed that critically acclaimed, multi-platinum rock bands Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters along with the Grammy Award-winning rock band The Flaming Lips will perform at the network’s third annual “VH1 Rock Honors” celebration honoring legendary rock band The Who.

This year’s event will deliver a night of high-voltage tribute performances by the three bands all leading up to the spectacular grand finale performance by The Who as they rock the stage. Additional performers, presenters and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed. As a result of The Who’s revolutionary and era-defining influence on rock music, this will be the first “VH1 Rock Honors” that salutes just one band.

Taping in Los Angeles at the Pauley Pavilion on the campus of UCLA on July 12, “VH1 Rock Honors: The Who” will premiere on Thursday, July 17 at 9pm* on VH1, VH1 Classic and MHD. VH1.com will also offer select performances from the show leading up to and following the on-air premiere at Rock.VH1.com. The Who’s monumental legacy will be celebrated with a 2 – hour tribute that will salute the music and the lasting impact of this groundbreaking band. The influence of The Who will be felt through spoken tributes, filmed packages and performances by some of today’s premiere rock acts as well as the legends themselves.

Pour moi une bonne nouvelle çà serait des shows de vedder tout seul ou de PJ par chez nous ... mais la c'est en portugais ... çà pourrait aussi bien être du show en Amérique du Sud ...
